Apophysis 2.04 Tut updated by 2B2H Apophysis 2.04 Tut updated by 2B2H
This is the third version of my tutorial.

New in this version:

1. Another example of Dragon Egg creation - this time with some of my thought processes as to how I tweak a flame to get the results

2. Tiling - some useful information and a tutorial image (which formed the basis of the new cover image)

3. A little more in the Adding Colour section

Thanks for this tutorial. Even though it's for intermediate users and 2.04 it will help me as a beginner with 7X v.14. Everyone covers the same ground with a different emphasis. I'll keep at it and eventually it'll come together in an ah ha moment (s).

Carl

I enjoyed your tutorial. Using it as a guide I created my Apo Mandala flame: [link]

I have credited your tutorial as my guide. In the spirit of giving back, I am creating a document with settings on how the transforms for the mandala were created.

Thanks again,
Cat

Thanks Cat. Glad you enjoyed it although it's probably quite a bit behind the current release. :)

Thank you for this tutorial. It is one of the best ones I have found on dA. While I didn't get the results you got in the Exercises I got some interesting results and now can see how the Transforms work within a fractal.

Again, thank you!

Thank you for those kind words :) The tutorial is a bit dated as Apo has moved on quite a bit since that was written. That may explain why you may not be able to recreate the examples exactly. I'm just guessing there though ;)

thank you so much for the time and effort that went into making this tutorial. I'd been searching for a decent tutorial that went beyond basics, and showed how to create some really nifty flames in plain, simple language, and you made it! It's an incredibly generous piece of work, and I am completely grateful!

Thanks Jim. As regards Sheep - yep seen that. It is another of the Apo creators work, Scott Draves, and is still being developed (via the flam3 renderer) alongside Apo :)
